Season IX Issue I |
||||||
January 11, 2010 Partners and Friends, As I sit down to write the first newsletter of Season IX, the weatherman on 1010WINS informs me that snow is expected again, later this week. Pat Marella's wonderful photo above—the Erie-Lackawanna Ferry & Rail Terminal in Hoboken, NJ—symbolizes the beginning of our fourth year here, situated just west of Manhattan. And while we've only been calling Hoboken home since 2006, it has been nine years since you've welcomed us into your inbox each quarter to inform you of our accomplishments and successes together. And while we regret to hear that the current financial climate has affected a number of our clients and friends, we've buckled down and continue to weather the storm. I'm proud to say that our family of 40 contractors continues to thrive and our clients continue to prosper through the work we've created together. Our sister company, Lyrek, Inc.—dedicated to development and client services for Lyrek Contact and Events Management System (CEMS)—also used this climate to branch into new industries including entertainment, academia and corporate events. And era//404 is proudly now a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) New York Chapter. The network itself has had its fair share of achievement, as well. Marketing Strategist Todd Greene, SEO Guru Nick Musica and 3D Animator Chris Uhrich all popped the question to their respective significant others this year and, wouldn't you know it, all three said "Yes!" At this rate, I may be writing you next year with a trifecta of birth announcements. We spent the beginning of our Christmas holiday with MovieWithMe's visionary, Robert Lovenheim and his lovely wife, Cristina Luna. We rang in the new year with recently published children's literature blogger, Betsy Bird. As we bundle up for the chilly start of our ninth year in the New York City area, the seasonal excitement evokes memories of all that we've accomplished together. We've had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing people and produce outstanding work. Thank you for your continued interest and we are very proud to share with you our accomplishments. Sincerely, |
