Season VIII Issue I |
||||||
April 21, 2009 Partners and Friends, A reluctant Spring is in full swing here in Hoboken and the parks and paths are lined with the fragrant beauty of cherry blossoms. All our office windows are wide open as I write this, and I can't help to think how much activity occured over the last few months. It's Season VIII of this newsletter. That's right, eight years since we began and eight years since you've welcomed us into your inbox each quarter to inform you of our accomplishments and successes together. And while we regret to hear that the current financial climate has affected a number of our clients and friends, we've buckled down and continue to weather the storm. I'm proud to say that our family of 40 contractors continues to thrive and our clients continue to prosper through the work we've created together. While budgets are leaner, decisions are more carefully weighed, and risks are more conservative, the economy has allowed era//404 to prove we're here for the long-haul and we only have you to thank for it. Just to drive the point home, you'll notice our that era//404® is now, finally, a registered trademark, thanks to Aaron Silverstein and the good people at Saunders + Silverstein LLP. The network itself has had its fair share of achievement, as well. PHP Developer Marceu Filho tied the knot last year and we were privileged to raise a glass with him and his bride on their honeymoon in Manhattan. We spent Thanksgiving with designer, Gretchen Hehlo, in beautiful New England, and toasted .NET developer, Matt Murphy, and his fianceé's engagement. Our sister company, Lyrek, Inc.—dedicated to development and client services for Lyrek Contact and Events Management System (CEMS)—launched Musikal Chairs™ this quarter, a free, web-based service for building, seating and printing venues for events (Affiliates and advertisers welcome). The new version of Lyrek CEMS was also rolled-out with features for auto-seating, multi-seating, customizing RSVP and confirmation emails and stronger lists management. I definitely encourage you to visit both applications: Lyrek CEMS Musikal Chairs As we walk down beautiful tree-lined First Street on our way to Manhattan, the Spring weather evokes memories of all that we've accomplished together. We've had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing people and produce outstanding work. Thank you for your continued interest and we are very proud to share with you our accomplishments. Sincerely,
