April 4, 2006
Partners and Friends,
Happy 4/04! With a reluctant Spring here in New York, the first quarter of 2006 has been a chilly, but eventful one. Our network has expanded to an all-time high of 35 creatives in four different countries. Team members have celebrated weddings (Tony Muka), births (Gary and Tina Roth-Eisenberg are expecting, soon...) and career advancements (Hepp Maccoy to Yahoo!). We're glad to share in these life changes with our family at era//404 and look forward to more joyous occasions to come.
We've had the opportunity to work with some wonderful people and produce outstanding work together. As always, we're grateful for your continued interest and proud to share with you our accomplishments.
Sincerely,
era//404

Steven Wohlwender Photo
Steven Wohlwender had a unique vision for a flash portfolio to showcase his photography. Using the tools he was familiar with, he was able to communicate to era//404 designers exactly what he imagined, with his own images. era//404 became an extension of Mr. Wohlwender's own creative force, by giving life to the imagery conveyed. The results were a high-impact, yet minimal and utilitarian, classy photo gallery -- coincidently exactly what he had in mind.

404 Trivia
Alcibiades, Athenian statesman and general, was a ward of Pericles and was for many years a devoted attendant of Socrates. Athens had a short era of greatness as Alcibiades directed brilliantly the Athenian fleet in the Aegean and won a victory over the Peloponnesian fleet off Cyzicus. However, Lysander, a new Spartan commander, defeated the Athenian fleet and had Alcibiades exiled. In 404 at the behest of Lysander, the Persian satrap Pharnabazus had Alcibiades murdered and his Web pages scattered to the wind, never to be found again. |
